In the second email, you should drop back and provide some context for the big reveal. One common trick is to tell readers where you are before you discover your big secret—the one you will eventually share with them. (This doesn’t have to be a first-person story. Some of the most compelling sequences we’ve seen involved solving a problem for a client or family member.)

The backstory often involves a rock-bottom moment, the kind of thing screenwriters refer to as the “all is lost” moment. Don’t be afraid to use dramatic language. You want to emphasize how down you were so that you can wow them with your recovery.

Email #3: The Epiphany

This email is where you reveal your big epiphany—the moment you realize what you need to do to solve the problem. It might seem early to reveal it, but you don’t want to annoy people. You’ve promised them a big reveal, and you must give it to them.

You can wait until the very end of your email to reveal it. Then, offer a teaser where you let them know that in your following email, you’ll reveal more exciting information about the epiphany.

Email #4: Hidden Benefits

In the fourth email, you detail what your epiphany did to change things. You solved a problem, but you should play up the dramatic improvements.

Here again, use significant, dramatic language. You want people to be excited about what you’re selling.

Email #5: A Sense of Urgency

In your last email, you want to create a sense of urgency that makes people want to buy your product immediately. You can do that by setting a time limit on your offer.

Remember that you should include a call to action in every sequence email. However, this one should be the most direct. It’s where you push people to buy NOW so they don’t miss out.

Bing shows ads relevant to a visitor’s search based on the terms used. Searching for “hardware store Kansas City” will return ads for hardware stores in Kansas City. Yes, that’s quite obvious. However, you may not know that whenever someone conducts a search, Bing gives ad placement to the highest bidder. Just because you have an ad on Bing, doesn’t mean people will see it.

Bing makes money off of the ads businesses place, so if you outbid your competition, your ad is more likely to appear. However, Bing only gets paid when someone clicks an ad. That’s because you only pay Bing when someone clicks on your ad.

This is why relevancy matters. If you operate a hardware store in Dallas, your ad will never appear using the search terms above no matter how much you bid, because no one would ever click on it. They need hardware stores in Kansas City, not Dallas. Showing irrelevant ads profits no one.

On your end of the ad, make sure when a visitor clicks your ad, it sends them where they expect to go. If your ad promotes drills, send the clicker to the drill page of your hardware store website, not the page with pipe fittings.

Bing has a host of advantages that are similar to other search engines. Using proper keywords, you get your business in front of people when they need it, increasing your conversion rate. You only pay if your ad works, so you don’t spend money on useless advertising, and you’re less likely to exceed your budget by placing bids for the maximum you’re willing to pay.

You can also track your engagements on a dashboard, showing you how many people saw your ad, how many times they clicked, and how much you paid for each click, giving you the ability to segment your future ads based on what worked and what didn’t.

While Bing doesn’t have the same volume as Google, this proves to be beneficial. Fewer businesses advertise on Bing, meaning less competition for you, better ad positioning, lower cost per click, and higher quality conversions.

Cost of Bing

A pay-per-click model determines how much advertisers pay for ads. You only pay when someone clicks your ad, but how much you pay depends on how much you bid. You pay different amounts based on keywords. Niche keywords in small communities can cost less than $0.20 while popular keywords in big markets cost more than $20.

Bing’s keyword planner suggests bids for your ads, so you have an idea of how much you need to bid for your ad to appear in someone’s search terms. You choose how much you are willing to pay based on how much you stand to profit from acquiring conversions. $20 is worthwhile if a new customer means $500 or more to your business.

Factors to Consider

Switching to Bing from Google doesn’t mean you’ll lose your previous campaigns. When you sign up for a Bing account, you have the option to import these from Google AdWords. You can then use them to run similar campaigns and benchmark which service is better for your business.

Diligent keyword research tells you which terms have high volumes and low competition. Bid on keywords with purchasing intent. If someone searches for “best toilets to buy,” it’s likely they plan to buy one soon. If they search for “best toilet repair near me,” you don’t want your hardware store ad to appear. That is unless you also offer toilet repair services.

After selecting targeted keywords based on your product, service, or location, you can also choose your match type. This allows you to select how closely you want your keyword to match the user’s search when your ad appears. Broad matches will look for searches containing synonyms of your keyword, whereas exact matches will only show up when someone searches for that exact keyword or phrase. Broad matches have the potential to appear on searches that aren’t relevant to your business, so you may have to narrow your match type over time after some careful study.

After several months, you should review and optimize your ad to improve future results. You have visibility to keyword impressions so you can refine and change as needed. Remember to remove negative keywords from your campaign.

Bing has a variety of targeting options you can use after you evaluate your initial campaign. You can run A/B tests, increase your visibility on weekends where you see more traffic, and bid higher on demographics like age or gender.

How Phone Follow-up Can Transform the Profitability of Your Business

Can you imagine winning a poker tournament and walking away from half of the prize money?

Picture yourself having played the rounds, having won it all, and then scooping up half of your chips and leaving the rest on the table forever.

I’m banging my head on the wall just thinking about it.

But did you know…if you’re making money online it’s very possible that you’re leaving cash on the table every single month.

Why is this? FACT: Some of your visitors and customers will buy every single product or service you have to offer. Just by having more to sell, you’ll have more opportunities to double or triple your incoming cash!

This is where the real money is. Low-price sales will cover your bills, high-ticket sales will make you rich.

I’m not talking about reports, ebooks, or even membership site subscriptions for continuity income.

I’m talking about top-tier sales, and you only need a few top-tier sales per month to live like a king. By top-tier, I mean selling products or services with high price points.

These are programs like seminars and events, coaching, and mastermind groups that cost thousands of dollars (sometimes even $50,000 or more) to join and which net you the largest commission checks of all.

Most people will buy something less expensive, BUT—it doesn’t take many of these to make you several times more money online.

For example, let’s say you have 5,000 unique people per month coming to your sales funnel, and you sell a $10 ebook to 4% of them (200 new customers). That makes you $2.000. Nice!

But now let’s take all the money off the table that’s available to you and offer a $15,000 coaching program to everyone who buys your ebook.

Even if only 1 in 200 take you up on the offer, you’d make an extra $15,000 that you never would have seen otherwise from that sale, and would make a commission check for several thousand.

Congratulations! You just doubled your income without doing anything more than following up your first offer with a second one for more.

Now, the key to making top-tier sales like these for big commission checks is 1-on-1 phone sales.

Here’s how that works:

1) You generate a new lead by driving traffic as you normally do
2) Make sure to capture their name, email address, AND phone number
3) They get automated emails from you, and also a personal phone call to follow-up

Do you think that would get their attention? That will make a connection with your new leads that will open the door to making a sale, now or later.

Most people will not make a major commitment without time first getting to know who you are and what you can do for them. As soon as they feel comfortable, then they buy.

Also, it ensures that those who are ready to commit to growing their business create a commission for YOU and not some other affiliate or program.

Why? Because they’re not using the phone, and are leaving money on the table, too. A recent InsideSales report showed that over HALF of companies surveyed never followed up with leads by phone after capturing their phone number.

It’s not easy to do (it’s a lot of work and can be scary at first), but I strongly suggest that you commit to following up on the phone, as it’s the key to doubling or tripling your income.

One option you have is to leverage a phone team, by hiring and training your own salespeople to make the calls and close the sales.

Everyone wants to make money online. They dream of sitting at home and raking in the millions. While it’s not quite that easy because it does take a lot of work, you actually can sit at home and create a truly profitable business. The key is to find the right educational resources that will point you towards your dreams.

The biggest obstacle with this, however, is the sheer amount of information on the web. The internet was created to share information, so it should come as no surprise that there are mountains of text to sift through. Some information is simply better than others while a small percentage is an absolute garbage.

Good: Books

Books are always a great place to start learning something new. Sometimes you may have no idea where to start. You know you want to make money online but you just don’t know what to start learning about first. Books are great because you can flip through a few of them and get a better understanding of the subject without having to scavenge for information piecemeal.

After a bit of research, you’ll know exactly what books to track down and what subjects to focus on. Once you pay for a book, it’s yours forever so they can also be great investments. With the rise of e-readers, books are now cheaper and more portable than ever.

Better: Videos

Books are good, but some people are visual learners. They need videos and demonstrations to really be able to wrap their minds around something. Fortunately, there are tons of videos on the web that cover nearly every subject imaginable. Some videos are made by professionals while others are created by amateurs.

There is a big difference in quality between these two different types of videos. Professionals will be able to describe the intricacies of a subject while amateurs can only give a basic overview. Keep in mind, as well, that many videos only show one person’s way of doing things. They might not teach you a different method.

Best: Mentors

Mentors are, without a doubt, the absolute best way to learn something. When you have a mentor you actually have a dedicated, professional teacher who can take you through every step of a process at a speed that works for you. Since most mentors have years of experience in a certain subject, they are a treasure trove of information.

The biggest problem people run into, however, is that effective mentoring can often be rather expensive. These are experienced professionals who can make plenty of money without needing to teach anything. They become mentors because they want to help others, not because they need to.

A good mentor can help you get an online business up and running faster and more successfully than any other option.
